1. Find your Fairfax County food establishment health permit and check the expiry date on it.
2. Make sure your business name, address and owner details are still right.
3. In the PLUS Citizen Portal, go to My Records, open your Environmental Health record, and pick Renew Application.
4. Ask what the renewal fee is. Check with your local health department.
5. Keep a copy of your receipt and your new license where you can show it.
6. Set a reminder for next year so you never miss December 31.
